Board Member Sign Up

As in every year we have openings that are coming up on the board.  We have 3 positions available this year.  The positions are a 3 year term.  The spots on the board will be determined during the Oct board meeting.

Joining the board is a great opportunity to help grow the program, over the past year we have heard some good ideas on things that people would like to see done.  By joining the board you can assist in helping make some of those changes and work to make the experience for the girls the best it can be.

Expectations of a board member is that they attend a monthly board meeting, normally the 2nd Sunday of each month.  Also be a part of helping in the events that the Association puts on, such as clinics, tournaments, and league games.  Also help with getting our name out into the community.  It is a fun way to see how the association works and get to know a lot of the parents at all levels.

To be considered please fill out the attached BIO and have it returned to Dan Hoogheem by no later than Sept. 22 2018.  Once all Bio's are in we will post on the website and the association will vote for who they feel is the best fit for the board.  New members will be contacted prior to the OCT meeting and be announced on the website after they have been contacted.  Questions on how this works please reach out to a board member.

Opening Board Positions are:

Communications

Operations

An At Large Position

These positions may change if a current board member is voted into one of these positions.  As stated earlier the determination is made in the Oct Board Meeting.

2018 Fall Ball Registration

Welcome to the 2018 Fall Registration for Champlin Park Fastpitch

Season:  Runs Late August through the last week of Sept.  Games are held on Sunday afternoons starting with first game August 26, then continue on 9/9, 9/16, 9/22 or 9/23 (depending on age).  This is followed by a one weekend State tournament on Sept 29 and 30.  The games are determined by how the teams do each week, so there is no schedule at the begining of the season.  Games are posted to the assocaition and coaches by Wednesday the week of the game and players are let know after that.  This is a traveling league so games are normally in different locations around the metro each week.

Registration closes on Wednesday August 1 at Midnight.

Cost:  $100 per player

Age Group:  8U-18U.  Register for the level that your child will be eligible to play for Summer, 2019.  For example, if she is playing 10U this summer but is eligible to play 12U next summer; register her for 12U for Fall ball.

CPFA is a competitive association and we look to fall Fastpitch to help develop and give the opportunity for new players to join and see what the sport it about.  We will do what we can to acomidate player needs but cannot guarantee that it will be possible, based on teams and numbers.

Any Parent interested in coaching please reach out to a board member.  Coaches meeting is August 9th.

There will also be a Parent Meeting on Monday 7/23 at 7:30pm at Champlin Park High School Softball Field 1.  This is to help answer questions you have about fall ball and how it work as well as how CPFA works.
