2021 Fall Fastpitch League

Registration closes on Friday, July 23rd at 8 PM.

Cost:  $150 per player

The season is 4 weeks plus a State tournament.

Games begin the weekend of August 21/22

The Fall State Tournament will be held September 25/26.

  • 8U & 10U play doubleheaders on Saturdays.
  • 12U-18U play doubleheaders on Sundays.
  • Games are at 12:00 & 1:30 or 3:00 & 4:30 (occasionally, but rarely, games need to be staggered, i.e., 12:00 & 3:00 or 1:30 & 3:00)
  • Schedules are posted by Big West by Wednesday (maybe sooner) of game week
  • Hosting sites for fall ball are limited, so please plan to travel most weeks. We are not planning to be a host site for fall ball so there will be no volunteer requirement for fall.
  • Please register your player for the age level they will be playing next spring/summer.

CPFA is a competitive association and we look to fall fastpitch to help develop and give the opportunity for new players to join and see what the sport is about.  We will do what we can to accommodate player needs but cannot guarantee that it will be possible, based on teams and numbers.

This registration will allow you to provide contact information, player information, sign consents, identify t-shirt size and requested number, and submit payment.

New this year, you will be required to review and agree to the Zero Tolerance and Code of Conduct policy online (no more paper to turn into coaches!). Please read through each page carefully and review the below document with your children.

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available.

2021 Fall Coaching Application

As always, we depend on our families to help operate our Champlin Park Fastpitch programs.  We appreciate everyone’s support through the donation of their time and energy as volunteers and especially as coaches!

Thank you for the feedback that has been provided as to what has held you back from volunteering to coach in the past. We will be compiling the responses and the board will address them to attempt to make the coaching position and requirements less intimidating.

In the meantime, to address a few of the comments we have received so far – Fall season is a GREAT opportunity to try your hand at coaching.

The season is less demanding:

  • Coaches can schedule practices around their own personal schedules
  • The season is only 4 weeks long plus State Tournament
  • There are no tryouts required of the players and teams are formed by the board rather than coaches needing to select their team.
  • We have added an additional item on the coach application allowing you to request to coach with another parent – we will do our best assuming the players are at about the same level of play.

In addition, we have some resources available to help in your coaching experience:

  • The player develop director has the following resources available and more!
    • Sample drills
    • Drill videos
    • Pitching/Catching Training support
  • The board is creating documents to help understand the development needs for players at each level and what they should be learning to advance their skills

We are expecting a great turn out for this fall season again and would love your help as head or assistant coach.

CPFA Board Member Application

Are you interested in making a difference in the community? Are you interested in helping to develop our young ladies into leaders and athletes?

Joining the board is a great opportunity to help grow the program. Over the past year, we have heard some good ideas on things that people would like to see done. By joining the board, you can assist in helping make some of those changes and work to make the experience for the girls the best it can be. It is also a fun way to see how the Association works and get to know a lot of parents at all levels.

Board member level of commitment:

  1. Attend a monthly board meeting, typically the 2nd Sunday of each month
  2. Help in Association events such as clinics, tournaments, and league games
  3. Help promote the Association in the community
  4. 3 year commitment

To be considered, please complete the application at the link below. If we have a position become available, the board will vote for who they feel is best to represent our association as a member of the board. Please reach out to a current board member if you have any questions!

Covid 19 Update

Obviously, there will be some changes in how practices and games will look with the new MDH COVID19 safety protocols. Please take some time to review the Back to the Diamond Safety Guidelines attached below as well as all of the information on the Minnesota Softball site (link below).

Please see the Player Development and Registration tabs for clinics and other training and development opportunities for your child.
