Tryout Schedule - March 7, 2026

Below you will find important information regarding tryouts. Please read through all the details carefully. All registered athletes (except 6U) are required to participate at their scheduled tryout time. There is no make-up date/time. Please prioritize this evaluation for your athlete and be on time.

Where: Champlin Park High School; Field House (6025 109th Avenue North, Champlin)
Check In - Door W6 (at check in your athlete will be given a number for you to help pin on)
Check Out - Door E6 (at check out your athlete will turn in their number and do uniform fitting if they haven’t already at Champlin Athletic; parent or guardian are required to sign off on sizing; all athletes need to try on the uniforms)

This is a closed tryout, so families will not be able to be in the field house or between the check-in/check-out tables.

*Email notifications will go out to 8U players for potential invitations back to the 10U tryout by 1PM*
Bring: All athletes are required to wear proper safety gear at tryouts. Required equipment: glove, facemask, bat, helmet with cage, wear tennis shoes and comfortable/appropriate clothing. Any club softball apparel will not be allowed. We are Rebels. Don’t forget water!
Catchers: You do not need any gear besides what is listed above.
Evaluations: Players will be evaluated in the areas of bunting (10U+), hitting, infielding, and outfielding. Pitching and catching evaluations are separate from their player evaluations.
Fees: All registration fees must be paid in full to participate in tryouts. Your volunteer check will need to be turned in at the check-in table ($450/1 athlete (8 hours of volunteer time required to avoid your check being cashed at the end of the season; $550/2 or more (12 hours of volunteer time required to avoid your check being cashed at the end of the season). Checks should be made out to CPFA.
Timeline: Tryouts are all day Saturday, March 7th. The morning of Sunday, March 8th potential head coaches will be contacted and offered positions. On the afternoon of Sunday, March 8th, the Fastpitch Selection Committee will hold team formation meetings. Potential head coaches should be available Sunday March 8th. Teams will be posted and membership notified by Monday, March 9th 6:00 pm.
